As the spring weather improves and people are active outdoors, remember to watch for ticks.
Blacklegged (deer) ticks are important because they can carry
Lyme Disease. Endemic and risk areas for Lyme disease
have been mapped in Canada (Fig. 1). Continued surveillance activities conducted by Health Canada and the provinces remain important and you can help by
identifying / removing / submitting your ticks!
